Shanghai International Film & TV Market
Producers Alek Shakhbazyan and Edgar Shakhbazyan presented “Pastures of the Gods” at the Shanghai International Film&TV Market, held June 20–23.
Work on the film spanned nearly ten years: it premiered in Moscow in 2025 at the Zimniy Film Festival, and in 2026 it went on wide release in Russia and the CIS.
The Shanghai market is a major international platform for content exchange, where film companies, distributors, TV channels and other industry players look for partners and discuss project rights and co-production opportunities.
Russian companies take part in the event regularly: Roskino, for example, organizes a joint stand (Russian Content Worldwide) that lets several companies showcase a broad slate of projects at once.
As part of this effort, our film company Cinema Concept Production presented its feature “Pastures of the Gods” (directed by Anar Abbasov, written by Oleg Denisov), opening up new prospects for international distribution and co-production.
Talks have already been held with film industry representatives from Brazil, China, Korea, Indonesia, Croatia and Turkey.
