About the film
An epic adventure film with touches of mysticism and detective story, directed by Anar Abbasov.
To pull his friend and business partner Oleg out of depression, Moscow businessman Igor sets off with a group of friends to the Pamir mountains to hunt ibex.
The locals call the ibexes nakhchirs and revere them as sacred animals, herded by divine maidens, the peris.
The thrill of the hunt turns into bloodlust, and the frenzy becomes a slaughter that upsets the unseen balance on which the world of the primeval mountains rests. The hunt becomes a perilous fight for survival.
No animals were harmed in the making of the film: the crew used modern special effects and doubles to capture the beauty of the wild as ethically as possible.
