Our film “Pastures of the Gods,” directed by Anar Abbasov, has been selected for the Fest5 International Film Festival 2026 (F5IFF), to be held from November 20 to 24 in Kolkata, India.

The film will represent Russia in the festival’s international program. The screening is scheduled for November 24, 2026. On the same day, a meeting and seminar with the film’s general producer, Alek Shakhbazyan, and the creative youth of Kolkata is planned.
Filmmakers from all over the world are taking part in the third edition of F5IFF. According to the organizers, the festival received 647 submissions from 80 countries, and 36 films were included in the screening program. This year, special attention is given to youth, the preservation of cultural heritage and environmental themes.
“Pastures of the Gods” is an adventure survival thriller set in the Pamir Mountains. Unique nature, ancient legends and a story of human choice create an atmosphere in which the struggle for survival becomes a test of the characters’ moral principles.
Taking part in the festival in India is one more step in the film’s international promotion and an opportunity to introduce a foreign audience to Russian cinema, culture and the distinctive world of the Pamirs.
The team continues to expand the geography of its festival screenings and strengthen international ties, opening up new opportunities for Russian cinema.
